The ISO COMM2 PCI is an advanced PCI Express interface that offers two optically isolated serial ports for communication over RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485. Built to support high-speed, data-intensive applications, each port uses the 16C952 UART, which provides 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs, enabling data rates up to 921.6K bps. For RS-485 applications, the adapter automatically controls the RS-485 driver in hardware, eliminating the need for software control and preventing bus contention or data corruption. It also features DIP-switch selectable termination for optimal multi-drop communication. The ISO COMM2 PCI is compatible with both Windows and Linux operating systems and is backed by Sealevel’s SeaCOM software.
